Capture Card Guide

⚠️⚠️PLUG THE CAPTURE CARD INTO THE SCRIPT PC PCIE SLOT⚠️⚠️ ⚠️ INSTALL THE FOLLOWING ON THE GAMING PC ⚠️

  1. Download/Install OBS

    Download OBS

  2. Update Capture Card Firmware

Ensure your capture card firmware is up to date for optimal performance. 3) Connect Your Hardware

Plug the HDMI from your Gaming PC GPU into the HDMI IN of the capture card.

4) Configure OBS Settings.

Video Settings:

Base Canvas Resolution: 1080p
Fractional FPS: 240/1

Advanced Settings:

Color Format: BGRA (8-bit)

Game Capture:

Select Game Capture and your game or select display capture and your display.
Center it to the canvas by pressing CTRL + D on Game Capture in Sources.

5) Configure OBS Settings (For Different Resolutions)

If your gaming monitor has a resolution other than 1080p 144 or 1080p 240, follow these steps:

Video Settings:

Set the capture card resolution to 1080p240hz in the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Software.
Change FPS to fractional 240/1.

Game Capture:

Use Window/Game Capture for your game.
Right-click on the preview and select Fullscreen Project to the capture card.

If done correctly, the debug window on the second PC should display the game output.

For AverMedia GC573 (higher latency than Elgato 4K Pro):

1920x1080p @ 240 fps
1280x720 @ 144/240 fps
720x480 @ 240 fps

For Elgato 4K Pro:

1920x1080 @ 239 fps
1280x720 @ 239 fps
800x800 @ 239 fps
720x480 @ 239 fps
360p @ 239 fps

Lower resolutions feel similar; 720p is a sweet spot, but 480p also works well.

Here are other methods of using Capture card dual pc:

Keep in mind that these are not the main way we recommend setting up a capture card.
