### How to use this guide

This is a UI reference, not a dump of every internal compatibility key in the configuration schema. It documents controls that a customer can reach in the current client and identifies important conditional controls.

Labels used below:

* **Advanced** — shown only when the top-bar mode is set to Advanced.
* **Conditional** — shown only for the selected device, backend, model, edition, or enabled parent control.
* **Per class** — stored separately for the active weapon class.
* **AI**, **Color**, and **Console** — available only in the named product edition.

Most controls save automatically and are pushed to the running engine. Controls that rebuild capture, detection, or hardware connections may require **Stop Moonlight** followed by **Start Moonlight**. The relevant sections call this out.

### Current client layout

The current client no longer uses one large Settings tab. It uses a grouped sidebar and a three-pane workspace.

| Area | Purpose |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Config** | Selects the active edition-scoped configuration profile. |
| **Class** | Selects the active weapon class. Aim, Flick, Trigger, RCS, Humanizer, and plugin state can change with it. |
| **Simple / Advanced** | Simple is the default. Advanced reveals specialized tuning and diagnostic controls. |
| **Settings pane** | Holds the collapsible cards for the selected sidebar page. |
| **Center pane** | Shows the unified live preview or a full-size Configs, Marketplace, Logs, plugin-authoring, or RCS-editor view. |
| **Monitor pane** | Shows capture, detection, inference, latency, target lock, weapon class, and device/controller telemetry. |
| **Output Log** | A collapsible bottom strip for recent runtime messages. |
| **Start / Stop Moonlight** | Starts or stops the active capture, detection, and output pipeline. |
| **Reset Session** | Clears session state without changing the saved profile. |
| **Upload Logs** | Opens the support-log upload workflow. |

### Setting scope and edition behavior

| Scope | What it means |
| -------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Global profile setting** | Applies to the active config regardless of weapon class. |
| **Per-class setting** | Loads from the selected class. Switching Class can immediately change the behavior. |
| **Edition-scoped config** | AI, Color, and Console keep separate config folders. A profile is not activated across editions. |
| **Authenticated edition** | The signed-in product determines which pages and hardware choices appear. There is no current in-app edition switch. |

Edition differences:

| Edition | Current differences |
| ----------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **AI** | Detection, ML Mouse, Plugins, and Marketplace are available. |
| **Console** | Uses the AI detection surface, omits ML Mouse, limits Capture to Capture Card or Magewell SDK, and limits output to Titan Two or Makcu Controller. |
| **Color** | Uses Color instead of Detection and omits ML Mouse, Plugins, and Marketplace. |

## Aim

Controls continuous target acquisition and tracking. All behavior in this chapter is **per class** unless noted otherwise.

The old PID, Aim V2, Legacy, WindMouse, GAN, and Human selections are no longer client aim engines. The current choices are **Moonlight Aim** and, where supported, **Script**.

### Activation & Access

| Setting | What it does |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Aim Enabled** | Master switch for continuous aim tracking. |
| **Aim Engine** | Selects **Moonlight Aim** or a plugin-backed **Script** provider. Script is not offered in Color edition. |
| **Provider** | **Conditional: Script.** Selects the enabled plugin that supplies aim output. |
| **Apply our humanization** | **Conditional: Script.** Applies Moonlight profile humanization to the plugin output. |
| **Aim Mode** | **Hold** runs while the key is held, **Toggle** changes state on each press, and **Always On** does not require a held key. |
| **Aim Key** | Selects one or more activation buttons supported by the active input device. |
| **ADS Key** | Identifies the aim-down-sights input so hip and ADS response can differ. |
| **Hip Aim Speed** | **Conditional: ADS Key.** Scales Aim Speed while not aiming down sights. |
| **Foot Pedal** | Enables a second keyboard or mapped input as an aim activator. |
| **Foot Pedal Key** | **Conditional: Foot Pedal.** Selects the secondary activation key. |
| **Activation Delay** | Wait time between valid activation and the first aim movement. |
| **Max Aim Time** | Enables a time limit for one aim activation. |
| **Max Aim Time duration** | **Conditional: Max Aim Time.** Sets the limit before aim releases. |

The legacy Aim Preset selector is retained only for config compatibility and is not part of the current customer UI.

### Targeting & Position

| Setting | What it does |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Aim FOV** | Radius around the calibrated crosshair in which a target can be selected. |
| **Dynamic FOV** | Scales the search radius using the detected target size. |
| **Shrink FOV While Aiming** | **Conditional: Dynamic FOV.** Uses a smaller search radius after target lock to reduce unwanted switching. |
| **Aiming FOV Size** | **Conditional: Shrink FOV.** Sets the locked search radius. |
| **Reference Size** | **Conditional: Dynamic FOV.** Target size used as the scaling reference. |
| **Min FOV** | **Conditional: Dynamic FOV.** Lower bound for the scaled radius. |
| **Max FOV** | **Conditional: Dynamic FOV.** Upper bound for the scaled radius. |
| **X Offset** | Moves the selected aim point left or right relative to the target. |
| **Y Offset** | Moves the selected aim point up or down relative to the target. |
| **Target Deadzone** | Stops small corrections once the aim point is sufficiently close to the target. |
| **Aim Bones** | **Advanced.** Selects eligible target points; it is most meaningful when the detector supplies keypoints/pose output. |

### Moonlight Aim

| Setting | What it does |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Aim Speed** | Primary movement authority toward the target. |
| **Split Aim Speed X/Y** | **Advanced.** Allows the vertical speed to differ from horizontal speed. |
| **Aim Speed Y** | **Conditional: Split Aim Speed X/Y.** Sets vertical movement authority. |
| **Track Strength** | Controls how tightly Aim follows continuing target motion after acquisition. |
| **Restricted Tracking** | Blends or suppresses physical input while Aim is active. On controller hardware, 0 percent preserves full manual adjustment while 100 percent gives Moonlight full authority. On supported mouse devices it controls how strongly physical movement restricts injected tracking. |
| **Manual Override Delay** | **Conditional: supported mouse devices.** Time after physical movement before full Aim authority is restored. |
| **Stick Sensitivity** | **Conditional: controller output.** Scales the controller response used by Moonlight Aim. |
| **X Dampener** | **Advanced.** Reduces horizontal correction response. |
| **Y Dampener** | Reduces vertical correction response. |
| **Box Size Aware** | **Advanced.** Changes response using target-box size as an approximate distance signal. |
| **Box Scale Strength** | **Conditional: Box Size Aware.** Controls how strongly box size changes response. |

Simple mode intentionally applies a reduced tuning surface. Switching to Advanced reveals the independent-axis and distance-scaling controls.

### Physical Control

This **Advanced**, device-dependent card appears only when Moonlight can read useful physical motion feedback.

| Setting | What it does |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Physical Control Assist** | Enables shared control driven by real physical movement. |
| **Assist Amount** | Sets how much configured Aim movement remains while the user is moving the mouse. |
| **Stationary Assist** | Sets how much assistance remains after physical movement stops. |
| **Activation Sensitivity** | Sets how easily physical motion activates shared control. |
| **Physical input source** | Read-only status showing whether usable device feedback is available. |

### Humanizer

The Humanizer is now embedded directly in Aim rather than being a separate page.

The profile controls are hidden on Titan Two and Makcu Controller output.

| Setting | What it does |
| ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enable Humanizer** | Uses the recorded movement profile for acquisition shape and learned native motion texture. |
| **Strength** | Scales the learned profile effect from 1–100 percent. |

## ML Mouse

Available only in AI edition. ML Mouse now creates per-game movement profiles; it is not a model selector for the retired GAN or Human aim modes.

### Model Profiles (per game)

| Setting or action | What it does |

| ------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Record Training Data** | Enables target-aware collection of physical movement. Moonlight movement is disabled during recording so the data reflects the user's input. |
| **Recording Phase** | Selects Aim or Track data collection. |
| **Training status / Movement count** | Reports collection readiness and recorded sample count. |

### Training Data — Summary

| Control | What it does |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |

Importing a Game Pack creates a new config but does not replace the active config automatically; activate it from Configs afterward. Imported Marketplace plugins enter Library disabled and remain run-only. Plugins that request powerful capabilities require a consent prompt before they are retained.

| ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Clear Logs** | Clears the visible pane; it does not remove saved log files. |
| **Auto-scroll** | Keeps the view at the newest message. |
| **Word Wrap** | Wraps long lines to the pane width. |
| **Pipeline Telemetry** | Enables stage timing rings, p50/p95/p99/max reports, coast/velocity samples, and worker-heartbeat warnings. It has small non-zero overhead and is intended for diagnostics. |
| **Detector Metrics / GC Tracking** | Logs detector FPS and garbage-collection timing approximately every 30 seconds. |
| **Audit Sync** | Compares saved config values with live runtime values and prints any drift. |
| **Filter** | Offers All, Info, Warning, and Error views. Warning and Error are the strict severity filters in the current redirect path; Info remains a compatibility option. |
| **Log pane** | Read-only redirected application output. |

## Removed, relocated, or compatibility-only controls

The following old-guide sections should not be used to configure the current client.

| Old guide item | Current status |
| -------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| PID, Aim V2, Aim Legacy, WindMouse, GAN, Human aim types | Removed from the selector; old saved values migrate to Moonlight Aim. |
| Standalone Humanizer page and its roughly 40 sliders | Replaced by inline profile-driven Enable/Strength controls on Aim, Flick, and RCS. |
| Aim and Flick preset selectors | Retained internally for compatibility but hidden in the current UI. Trigger Preset remains visible. |
| Smoothing / Kalman / Prediction V1 | Replaced by the Predictor V2 page. |

## Recommended setup order

1. Select or create a profile on **Configs**.
2. Choose the correct **Input Device** and COM port, then restart Moonlight if the connection changed.
3. Configure **Capture**, confirm the center preview, and calibrate the crosshair center if required.
4. Select a compatible model and backend on **Detection**, or configure **Color** in Color edition.
5. Create weapon classes under **Game Profiles → Calibration**.
6. Configure **Aim**, **Flick**, **Trigger**, and **Recoil Control** for each class.
7. Tune **Prediction** only after base tracking is stable.
8. Choose at most one automatic weapon-class method: **OCR**, **Template Match**, or **AI Weapon**.
9. Use **ML Mouse** to record and train a personal movement profile if desired.
10. Enable diagnostic telemetry only while troubleshooting, then review **Monitor** and **Logs**.

Change one subsystem at a time and duplicate a known-good config before large tuning sessions.
